Analyzing the tenders, the drawings and the specifications, preparing the required submittals, communicating with the subcontractor for any questions or comments, revising and finalizing the submitted quotations from the subcontractors to make sure that it does apply to the required specifications in the tender. Giving recommendations about the best subcontractor to work with.
Jul. 06–Nov.06: CH2MHill/Parsons Joint Venture; Water Sector – Iraq
Personal Assistant for Water Sector Sustainment Program:
Responsible for developing, organizing and maintaining status reports for delivery orders, cost and contracts for the water and waste water treatment plants in Iraq. Maintaining and updating the Task Order Tracker log (the funding tracking log for more than 45 water and waste water treatment plants all over Iraq) in coordination with the Finance and the Document Control dept. revising the weekly reports for each plant. Assisting in drafting memorandums for action.
Dec. 05–June. 06: Bechtel Inc. / Iraq
Telecommunication Department, Lead site engineer/ Consolidated Fiber Optic Network Project;
Reports to the Project Manager's to effectively and efficiently execute the project consistent with the project work plan, managing day-today activities on sites, communizing with the engineers on site and revising the daily and weekly reports and the schedules for the project, coordinating field work with subcontractors to ensure that all documents are processed completely and distributed in a timely manner with 100% accuracy. Support environmental and civil permitting activities. In addition duties of translation / interpreter (Arabic & English), communication with clients and other organizations to ensure compilation of all documents required for closeout reports of all site work from both site engineers and subcontractors. Checking the final As-built drawing for the project.
Jun. 05 – Dec. 05: Bechtel Inc. / Iraq
Site engineer/ Consolidated Fiber Optic Network Project (CFN);
• Supervising and directing the subcontractors and the company labors to perform the day-to-day activities with compliance to the schedule for OSP (outside plant) work on 4BGE route.
• Performed site visits to 6 Power plants to do the constructability and engineering assessment survey for the CFN project.
• Prepared the assessment packages for the 6 sites with the estimated Qty. Task Orders and the MRR (Material Release Request) for the sites.
• Prepared daily reports for each site visit and for the OSP work in 4BGE site.
Apr. 04 – Jun. 05: Bechtel Inc. / Iraq
ES&H Department, Safety Representative;
Duties include:
Controlling hazardous working environments and conditions in over five (5) sites & unsafe employee activities, conducting air pollution sampling investigation reports and analyzing results in order to evaluate how dangerous is the work environment around a power generating plant, participating in developing and conducting safety training programs, conduct work area safety inspections based on the Environmental regulations, air sampling test for confined space entry, respirator evaluation & fit testing, document all accidents, safety violations, unsafe conditions/activities, conduct detailed accident investigations, review documentation to insure all required records and reports are complete, implement correct action if needed.
Auditing the compliance of subcontractor for safety requirements in all work sites in Baghdad region, in addition to present safety session to both subcontractor’s employees and new company hires.
Oct. 02 – Mar. 04
Environmental Monitoring dept./ Ministry of Environment/ Iraq
Environmental Engineer;
Auditing the industrial and commercial areas for the compliance of those areas to the Iraqi Environmental Regulations by conducting periodic site visits to those areas, preparing auditing site visits schedule, performing site visit reports for those site visited to the management with recommendations and conclusions whether those areas are applying the regulations.
