Established in 2004, the Iraqi Business Council in Abu Dhabi (IBCAD) was launched to cultivate and develop business and economic connections between the United Arab Emirates and Iraq.

The IBCAD consists of a team of elite entrepreneurs utilizing years of corporate and private experience to serve as a medium of communication between various international decision makers. In doing so, the discussion of business ventures is supplied and facilitated for the sake of reinforcing the economy of both regions. IBCAD enhances the cooperation and coordination with Iraqi and other various international business organizations to create a viable exchange of economic ideas.

IBCAD organizes numerous events geared towards providing a comfortable networking atmosphere that creates a vibrant forum celebrating Iraqi culture and diversity. The purpose is to bring together members of the Iraqi community and encourage them to participate in the creation and discussion of investment projects in Iraq and the UAE.

The organization hosts trade missions in addition to working closely with the local and Iraqi organizations such as Iraqi Embassy in Abu Dhabi, Iraqi Consulate in Dubai, Iraqi Commercial Attaché, Iraqi Cultural Attaché, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and The Department of Economic Development.
